Eye lid Surgery to remove excess skin from the upper eyelids is called Blepharoplasty. Blepharoplasty is often done for both eyes, or Bilateral Blepharoplasty of the Upper Eyelids (BULB).

Ptosis Surgery is a surgical procedure to elevate the upper eyelid margin so that the eyes are less closed or droopy across the visual axis of the pupil.

Bilateral Blepharoplasty and Ptosis Surgery are done as medically necessary procedures, often together, when medical need is present and significant symptoms are present.
