In most cases, aside from the basic reading glasses, one can get over-the-counter at a pharmacy or grocery store, eyeglasses are first determined by prescription and eye exam. A person goes to a Chico & Paradise optometrist who performs an eye exam and determines the focusing condition of the eyes. If assistance is needed, then the eye doctor prescribes a formula for eyeglass lenses that should be ordered and used by the patient. Once filled out, the patient either works through the eye doctor’s office or an eyeglasses provider and has the specific lens prescription created with a frame.
