Insurance

If you have vision insurance, then you will need to find an eye care specialist that is covered by your plan. Otherwise, you could have to pay out-of-network charges, making your visit much more expensive. If you don’t have vision insurance then expect that all the copays and deductibles of your medical insurance will apply to your visit. If you just need an eye exam, either of our two ophthalmologists or our optometrist can do this for you. The doctor you chose should be able to provide total care for all your eye health needs. If you are at risk for diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, or another eye condition then you will want to schedule with one of our ophthalmologists, they are specialists in glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration. If you have no known existing conditions then you are free to schedule with our optometrist or either of our ophthalmologists; whichever is convenient to you.
 

Do You Need Contacts or Eyeglasses?

Every office will be able to get you a new prescription for eyeglasses or contacts. However, if you want a one-stop-shop for your eye care and a new pair of glasses, then you want an office that has an eyeglasses boutique.
